EDFmodel's RC Boeing 777 airliner

This 777 RC Airliner was manufactured between 2004-2006 by EDFmodel.com. This model is no longer available. Unfortunately no other manufacturer makes this RC plane.

Model Description - 303

The 777 model was delevolped in kit form. It represented much of the early development design work for EDFmodel being a combination of traditional construction and unique EDFmodel assembly techniques. Some good modelling experience was required.

Wingspan: Wingspan 42" (1062 mm), length 41" (1055 mm). Five piece design built up as one complete wing, Clark-Y section, CNC cut styrene, carbon spars, wing area 1.8 Sq. ft. Wing upper surface is plastic covered with gap-less aileron hinging.

Weight: Ranging 985 -1100g (2.1 - 2.4 lb) depending on the setup, wing loading 58-65g/dm (19.3-21.6 oz/sq ft). You should be aiming for AUW not to exceed 1100g (and preferably lower) with a minimum thrust weight ratio not less than 38%.

Control surfaces: All moving tail plane, outboard ailerons and steerable nose wheel.

Undercarriage: Fixed with steerable nose wheel. The rear U/C is supplied twelve 1.25" foam wheels. The model will require a smooth runway.

Model finish: Airliner decals could be selected from existing graphic designs or a standard white configuration.

Fans & brushless motors: 2 x We Mo Tec Micro Fans,  and 2 X Hacker E-flite Series Brushless motors E3- 37 3700Kv and 2 X light weight, 4S rated, 25 Amp BEC controllers are required. Both motors produce 480g of thrust at around 15.5amps on a 3s setup.

Battery: Lithium Polymer 3s 1320mAh Pro Lite battery 13C-20C burst (11.1V). With the Hacker motor the 1320 battery will provide a flight time of around 9-11 mins.

Power setup: Fans & brushless motors: 2 x We Mo Tec Micro Fans,  and 2 X Hacker E-flite Series Brushless motors E3- 37 3700Kv. Both motors produce 480g of thrust at around 15.5amps on a 3s setup.
